PROBLEM
Matrics is a research project in the framework of research grant BI-REX that involved both “Salvator Mundi International Hospital (SMIH)”, based in Rome, and “Ospedale Santa Maria della Scaletta”, based in Imola.
The main aim of the MATRICS projects is to monitor hands-cleaning (disinfection) and provide an a-posteriori data analysis of the services in hospitals.
HOW WE
SOLVED IT
We used the RTLS (Real Time Location Services) technology and developed an Android mobile application able to monitor the entry/exit of each user in/from every room in the scenario. Users are grouped by roles.
KPI
Peculiar KPIs to monitor:
-
99% accuracy in hand hygiene compliance.
-
Risk reduction and containment.
-
Reduction of external interferences to ordinary activities in hospitals.
