GOAL
Realizing an industrial-grade platform that solves problems related to Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, particularly those about interfacing all the elements interconnected through industrial telecommunications networks.
SCOPE
  • The system will establish the best criteria for scanning, autonomously managing data traffic on packet networks and information, in general, to guarantee their optimization.
  • The system carries out data collection, aggregation, and organization to provide a remote management platform. It takes advantage of cloud computing to supervise the health status of the interconnected elements to guarantee a prompt intervention in case of failures.

EIT Mobility - BICIFICATION
While in some Northern European citiescies bicycle holds an important modal share, too many cies are lagging behind and despite the implementaon of numerous so measures, bicycle levels remain low. The lack of proper infrastructure and the perceived level of risk keep cizens away from bicycles. BICIFICATION aims at supporng a modal shi towards green, acve mobility through a gamificaon/rewarding scheme, by proposing a TRL9 soluon consisng of a patented hardware and soware for monitoring and rewarding bike trips reliably. Registered users receive monetary rewards by the local authories, which set rules. Furthermore, cies are benefied by valuable and trustable trajectories data. The innovaon of the technological soluon comes since the Pin Bike system is completely an- fraud. During the project, 1,500 users in 3 different cies will be engaged, aiming at increasing to 100,000 and 90 respecvely, in the next 5 years.

GOAL
While in some Northern European citiescies bicycle holds an important modal share, too many cies are lagging behind and despite the implementaon of numerous so measures, bicycle levels remain low. During the project, 1,500 users in 3 different cies will be engaged, aiming at increasing to 100,000 and 90 respecvely, in the next 5 years.
SCOPE

The BICIFICATION project is totally aligned with the objecves and the scope of both the Innovaon area and the Acve Mobility segment. This alignment is aributed to the innovave aspect and the high TRL of the technological soluon (hardware plus soware), as well as to the goals that this soluons aims to achieve. For many European countries, mainly located in Southern and Eastern Europe, cycling is not a common pracce and this can be also realized by its extremely low modal share. While the development of appropriate infrastructure and the implementaon of (e)-bike sharing systems is essenal, what this countries really need for achieving modal shi is a change in the atudes. The BICIFICATION project targets parcularly in this change. Therefore, within the project the high TRL soluon will be promoted and ulized for seng a gamificaon/rewarding scheme in three European cies. These schemes will not only reward the “loyal” bicycle users, but mainly it will achieve to have a direct impact on cizens that are in the “Contemplaon” or in the “Preparaon” stage (i.e. they are not currently cycling, but they are thinking of starng it in the far or in the near future respecvely). This direct impact will be also sought by spreading loudly the “you ride – you earn” message in the local media, also with the assistance of the local authories.

TELEmedicine Monitoring And Collaborative HUb-and-spoke System
GOAL
Telemachus is an integrated hardware/software medical system for the remote monitoring and treatment of patients and medical staff, with the aim of improving and streamlining the interaction between GPs and their patients.
SCOPE
  • Providing continuous indoor monitoring within hospitals, to mitigate person-to-person transmission of infectious agents and promptly take countermeasures (e.g. isolating critical areas).
  • Delivering remote treatment and monitoring within hub-and-spoke organizational model. The organizational structure is based on a hub-and-spoke model where a hub center (health authority) coordinates the activities of spokes (GPS) for preventive care and post-hospital treatments. Formally defined, the hub-and-spoke organization design is a model, which arranges service delivery assets into a network consisting of an anchor establishment (hub) which offers a full array of services, complemented by secondary establishments (spokes) which offer more limited service arrays, routing patients needing more intensive services to the hub for treatment.
  • Collect data for epidemiological analysis and research.

GOAL
We are developing several prototypes of interactive digital mosaics that can involve the viewer’s senses. The mosaics embed electronics, like microprocessors, microcontrollers, buses, memories, power supply, sensors, and actuators of various kinds and other components.
SCOPE

The mosaic prototypes include embedded indoor positioning systems able to broadcast information to nearby digital terminals, like smartphones, and tablets, using Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology. When read by a specific app, data allows various programmed actions such as accessing a social network or sending a push notification. The system can also send information on the Digital Mosaic and MOSAICOS technology, and many more, thus allowing the viewer to gain full awareness of the initiative undertaken by the MOSAICOS project partners.
