Another SCORE for Nextome
The life of a software house can be full and stimulating. What happens, in fact, when customers, suppliers and some market players seem to express the same needs? It happens that Nextome answers the call and designs a new solution: today we tell you something more about the SCORE project.

Nextome is a software house with a predominant focus on people and object localization and navigation services. However, the decade-long experience in the field has revealed that in the industrial sector, there are various needs and driving forces towards the modernization not only of products but also of processes, as well as mechanisms and production lines.

In the context of Industry 4.0, where both automation and integration of production processes are crucial for competitiveness, the SCORE Project emerges as an innovative hardware and software solution designed to optimize the management of industrial machinery, aiming to revolutionize how companies manage and monitor their production facilities.

At the core of the SCORE project, there is a hardware device, designed to be integrated into industries' local networks. This device can interconnect with a wide range of industrial machinery, supporting common protocols like ModBus, EtherCAT, and others. Its distinctive feature is its transparency regarding the protocols used, allowing seamless interfacing with any type of machinery.

The SCORE device can be used for upgrading existing plants (retrofitting), improving efficiency and monitoring capacity without having to completely replace the machinery already in use.

Once data are collected from connected machinery, the SCORE-Sync software comes into play, which processes and transmits the collected data to a dedicated web server. Here, the data is organized, displayed in intuitive graphs, archived, and stored to enable in-depth analysis and predictions.

One of SCORE's distinctive features is its complete yet intuitive web interface. Through this interface, users can manage individual devices, monitor production facilities, and adjust user permissions to ensure secure and controlled access to critical machinery variables.

The SCORE Project offers several significant benefits for industrial companies:

  1. Process Optimization: Real-time monitoring and data analysis to identify inefficiencies and optimize production processes.
  2. Maintenance Improvement: Early detection of machinery failures and anomalies, enabling preventive maintenance interventions.

  3. Cost Reduction: Optimization of resource usage and reduction of machine downtime thanks to proactive machinery management.

  4. Transparency and Control: Increased transparency and control over production processes, allowing more effective management of human and material resources.

The applications of the SCORE Project are several and range from traditional manufacturing sectors to high-tech industries. It can be used in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and many others.

In conclusion, SCORE represents a significant innovation in the industrial sector, offering a comprehensive solution for the integration, monitoring, and optimization of production processes. With its combination of advanced hardware and intuitive software, SCORE promises to revolutionize how companies tackle the challenges of Industry 4.0, enabling them to remain competitive in an increasingly global and dynamic market.
